You don’t even have to watch the trailer for It’s Kind of a Funny Story to know if it’s your kind of film, and to know that it’s probably going to be damn good. That’s because it comes from Anna Boden & Ryan Fleck, who are responsible for Half Nelson and Sugar. Those were amazing films. And Boden and Fleck are amazing directors. But, maybe you need more: How about Zach Galifianakis, who seems to be doing a decent job of not becoming a Galifianakis caricature. It also stars Keir Gilchrist, who actually is really good in “The United States of Tara.” Plus, Lauren Graham. And Aasif Mandvi. And Jim Gaffigan. And Emma Roberts. And it’s about crazy people. And it’s based on a book. I love books! Oh, even better: It’s based on one by Ned Vizzini. I love that guy! It will almost certainly also be sweet. And touching. And a little whimsiquirkilicious. And why don’t you just give in. Give in to it, damnit!

OK. Maybe you still need the trailer.
