  • A judge has ruled that the Steven Spielberg produced Disturbia did not mimic Hitchcock’s Rear View enough to warrant copyright infringement. That judge might want to watch the two movies again. (Reuters)

  • We were the first to report last month that Jim Carrey is attached to a movie called Under Cover, about a family man who starts a cover band. Now, it’s being reported that David O. Russell is considering directing the film. (24 Frames)

  • John Goodman is the latest addition to Kevin Smith’s Red State. (The Wrap)

  • Carla Gugino will star opposite Jimy Carrey in Mr. Popper’s Penguins, the big-screen adaptation of the beloved children’s novel, which will be directed by Mark Waters. (Variety)

  • Clint Eastwood is eying Joaquin Phoenix to play the gay lover opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in Hoover, the J. Edgar Hoover biopic. (Vulture)

  • Leslie Mann has joined the cast of Change-Up, which stars Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds as best friends who accidentally change bodies. (The Wrap)
