'Deadpool 2' Is Moving On Up While 'New Mutants' Gets Pushed Back
After today’s news of Gore Verbinski leaving Gambit, we didn’t expect more news from Fox/Marvel/Is It Disney Yet? to drop. But here we are with two dropped balls of information.
Yeah, I worded that correctly.
Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to reshare a photo of his katanas, named Bea and Arthur, and update the release date of Deadpool 2:
THAT IS LIKE TWO WEEKS LESS AND FEWER THAT I HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE DEADPOOL 2 IN THE FANCY THEATER WITH BOOZE AND RECLINING SEATS. THIS IS WONDERFUL. THIS GIVES MEANING TO MY LIFE. IT’S MY INSPIRATION.
In other news, Josh Boone’s excellent-looking New Mutants has also moved release dates, but surprisingly, it was moved back. The original release date was April 2018, but now we won’t get the horror and mutant hybrid until February 22, 2019. That is a sadness. I can only hope it isn’t because the quality is poor and reshoots are needed, but I’m sure we will hear all about it.
Gambit was even included in the rearranging, with the Charming Potato flick moved to June 7, 2019 from Valentine’s Day, 2019. I look forward to this movie actually getting made two years after Tater takes matters into his own hands and films some test footage to leak.
