When Jessica Chastain Expresses Interest In A Role, YOU TAKE HER UP ON IT, DC
David Ayer is probably still eyeballing (literally) actresses to join Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn in Gotham City Sirens. As I’ve said before, keep Megan Fox away from the role and I’ll entertain most other comers.
In an interview with Jessica Chastain, site CinemaBlend asked if she would be interested in portraying Pamela Isley/Poison Ivy in Gotham City Sirens.
I’m interested in all things where the characters are strong and dynamic, and not stereotypes or objects. I like female characters that are subjects, not objects. And so, if Poison Ivy happens to be that, sure. Throw my hat in the ring.
Warner Bros. and DC: LISTEN UP. You get Chastain a good script and you give her the Poison Ivy role so that Robbie’s Harley Quinn has someone who knows what she’s doing to play off of in this flick. The chemistry between the two characters needs to be just so and Robbie and Chastain are talented enough to pull it off. YOU HEAR ME, GODDAMMIT.
Megan Fox can make another thirty TMNT movies and stay the hell out of my Gotham Sirens, thank you very much. Don’t even think of giving her Catwoman either. I’d like Olivia Wilde or Emily Blunt, please.
