Ben Affleck has a lot riding on his Batman solo flick. After Batman v Superman: Dawn of All the Marthas Justice didn’t do so well critically…(pause for precious memories)

…it’s important to Affleck, DC and Warner Brothers that this one is successful. And a good title can make or break a film.

Oh sweet Benny boy.

“I think is going to be called ‘The Batman’ … at least that’s what we are going with now,” Affleck told the Associated Press in a recent interview. “I might change it, I think that’s about it right now, that’s all I got,” he said.

Yeah, Ben, you should probably change it.

I know “The Batman” has a long history (though shouldn’t it be “The Bat Man” in the context it’s usually used?), but as a title, it feels like “The Facebook” or “the cyber” or “the internets.” It also feels like “Batman” exists already, so let’s just slap a THE on it and make it different.
