I mean, why not, right? Ben Affleck as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Jason Momoa as Aquaman aren’t strange enough casting choices for Zack Snyder. Apparently, he’s also cast Robin in a film that needs no more superheroes, and he’s once again gone against type (and gender) and cast her as a female, played by Jena Malone.
At least, that is according to local new station in Detroit, where one of the news anchors spoke to an extra in a Batman v. Superman scene, who spotted Jena Malone (Hunger Games: Catching Fire) in red hair playing Carrie Kelly/Robin.
The anonymous extra if revealed is on the hook for a $5 million fine after having signed a nondisclosure agreement.
If true, either Zack Snyder is a casting genius or he’s a goddamn moron. Unfortunately, all we have are his previous films upon which to make that assumption.
