I don’t listen to the radio much, and when I do, it’s mostly “adult alternative,” which is another way of saying, “That station that puts on a Mumford Spotify playlist and calls it a day.” Yet, somehow MKTO’s pop-song “Classic” has managed to seep into the cultural consciousness so deeply that I’ve managed to hear it a few times. I mean, the song is a year old now, so it’s finally reached the woefully out-of-touch when it comes to music. Congrats guys.
However, I had no idea that the MK in MKTO referred to Malcolm David Kelley, who played Walt on Lost, and while I did know he grew up real nice, I didn’t realize he was also a helluva singer. The song — which has a Motown pop feel — is also terrific.
And if you can’t watch the video, here’s what Walt looks like today.
