Do you realize Viola Davis hasn’t won an Oscar yet? She won an Emmy, and gave a speech for the ages. With the Academy Awards, she’s been twice nominated (Doubt, The Help), and twice denied. But after being the best damn thing in Suicide Squad, this queen of Hollywood is bringing the heat in the Denzel Washington-directed, August Wilson-written/adapted drama Fences. It’s already getting buzz for powerhouse performances because she and Washington won Tonys when they first played these roles in its 2010 stage production. And the news that she’ll officially be running in the Best Supporting Actress category got Film Twitter freaking out:
