Trevor Noah Gets an Official Start Date on 'The Daily Show' (and An Amusing Promo)
Now that all the dust has settled on TrevorNoahTweetGazi, and we’ve all agreed to disagree and probably forget about completely once he settles into The Daily Show anchor chair and we find something else to bitch about, we now have an official start date.
Trevor Noah will take over on The Daily Show on September 28th. That leaves us with a nearly two-month absence between the time that Jon Stewart leaves and Trevor Noah takes over, which presumably means two months without new episodes of The Daily Show.
It also means there are only two months until the onslaught of Jon Stewart tributes, and I’m still not over Letterman leaving. At least we can fill in the gap between September 8th and September 28th with Colbert, who will take over CBS’s The Late Show.
In the meantime, here’s a promo for the Noah Trevor-led The Daily Show featuring Noah Trevor trying out the Daily Show seat.
And because I don’t have anywhere else to put it immediately, here’s Jon Stewart struggling to do 20 push ups for the #GiveThem20 campaign.
