If you’re trying to completely steer clear of any possible Walking Dead spoilers, you may want to back on out. That said, Andrew Lincoln’s recent changed appearance is no secret, and Norman Reedus certainly seems to enjoy stimulating speculation — which is all we’re really doing here. I’ve not read the comic, so anything contained herein is not a real spoiler. (Also, please remember: No Comic Spoilers in the comments.)
Appearing at Atlanta’s Walker Stalker alongside producer/director/effects man Greg Nicotero, BFFs Reedus and Lincoln joked about the Great Debeardening of 2014 and what could or couldn’t be revealed:
Reedus: “You know what’s crazy is I have his beard in a ziploc bag in my refrigerator. True story.”
Lincoln: “This is for real. He said to me, and he just went, when we had to do this…are we allowed to talk about it?”
Nicotero: “You can’t talk about that.”
Lincoln: “Whatever happens…when I died from the show this season…he (Reedus) says, ‘I want Andy’s DNA.’”
Reedus then explained he intends to clone Lincoln.
So, that was all kind of cute and funny, and of course they’re joking around — right? RIGHT?
Um…via Reedus’ Instagram:
This is nearly as disturbing as the end of Sunday’s episode.
Reedus recently revealed his morning routine, which sounds awfully Daryl-ish…
“I wake up, make an espresso and go into the backyard…I’m in my underwear, I drink my coffee and I shoot my bow.”
…well, except the espresso.
