The Rifftrax Guys Will Take on ‘Sharknado’ With Their Snark. It’s a Snarknado
About a week ago, we learned that Mystery Science Theatre 3000 would return to television in the form of Rifftrax on National Geographic. During a live internet announcement on Friday (and you can tell it’s live cause they spent like 45 seconds proving it with their phones and stuff) we got a few more details about the special. It’s tomorrow! It’s three hours long. And it will involve a number of weird animals including but not limited to a love triangle involving a slutty goose, STD-laden koala, and cadaver dogs.
The other big announcement they made (live! promise!) was that they’ll be doing one of their spectacular live shows simulcast into more than 600 theatres across the US and Canada (sorry, overseas friends). That’ll be happening on July 15th, and the movie they’ll be watching is (drumroll…..)
Because of course it is. That’s basically the entire reason that movie was made.
Plus, they’re totally right. Kids DO love John Hurt.
