Considering how much I loved Brian Michael Bendis’ Powers, it’s weird that I keep forgetting about the upcoming television adaptation. I think it’s because “television” in this case is actually “PlayStation” and I still don’t understand how that works and thinking about it just makes me feel old and confused. And there’s the added benefit of each new bit of news reminding me of the show’s existence in a nice goldfish-like surprise.
Anyhow, after a pilot was made and discarded for FX back in 2011, the show was picked up for a full season by a video game console back in June. Casting news has been coming in slowly since then, and here’s what we’ve got so far:
Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Christian Walker
Susan Heyward (The Following) as Deena Pilgrim
Michelle Forbes (she of the Meat Tree Orgy) as Retro Girl
Eddie Izzard as Wolfe
Noah Taylor (Submarine, Game of Thrones) as Johnny Royalle
Olesya Rulin as Calista
All right, now I’m off to once again forget this project exists.
Via Deadline.
