The News World Hands Them Stardom: Two Tom Hardys Are Better Than One

Here’s your first look at a nearly unrecognizable Tom Hardy as English gangster Ronnie Kray; in Brian Helgeland’s (42, A Knight’s Tale) Legend he’ll also portray Ronnie’s partner in crime and twin, Reggie. During the 1950s and 60s, the psychotic pair terrorized London as leaders of a gang known for violence and oddly, their celebrity status — the pair often socialized with political and Hollywood figures.



Here’s a couple of pictures of the real Kray brothers, for comparison:



And if all this sounds familiar, that’s because back in the 90s, Peter Medak (Hannibal, Romeo Is Bleeding) directed his own version of the story; The Krays, starring real-life brothers Martin and Gary Kemp, aka Spandau Ballet.


But where Tom Hardy is concerned, we don’t care about retread, do we?
