If Marvel is going to successfully run the table at the multiplex, they’re going to have to do what Coke did in creating Santa Claus and McDonald’s did with Ronald McDonald, and get ‘em while they’re young. Sure, The Avengers and Captain America are great? But there’s a whole untapped market of kids between 4-8 who need to buy into Marvel so that they can become the next generation of Marvel moviegoers (I almost feel bad that, in 10 years, 12 year olds are going to have to watch 15 movies and 6 TV series just to get caught up with the Marvel Universe).
Anyway, Marvel, along with the Disney that brought us Frozen and Wreck-It-Ralph, are making an animated superhero movie that will feature the crimefighters Wasabi-No-Ginger, Honey Lemon, GoGo Tomago, and Fred, who will fight along with a robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada and his robot sidekick Baymax.
It’s a teaser trailer, but it still looks like something every 7 year old will watch 32 times.
