2014’s John Wick wasn’t just one of the best action movies of recent times — its club shootout scene by itself easily elevating it to that — but one of the best movies, period. Pure, beautifully stylized, and with enough pathos to give it weight, it just fucking rocked. It also grossed $86 million from a $20 million budget, which for an original property is a lovely little success these days.

It also meant that we could be sure that good ol’ John would be back to kill a helluva lot more people in a helluva lotta amazingly choreographed ways.

Fans of the original — which should be everyone — have now been treated to some new promo images from the sequel.

The first came out a little while ago:

And it was followed yesterday by these two:

I’m usually not one for posting promo pictures but, frankly, any tidbit from this has me salivating.

The sequel will see Keanu’s Wick coming out of retirement — again — but this time not because Theon Greyjoy murders his adorable pooch, but rather due to a plot involving an old associate, an international assassin’s guild, a blood oath, and Rome.

Also, unlike the first movie — directed with loving care by former Matrix stunt doubles David Leitch and Chad Stahelski — this one will be helmed solely by Stahelski. Darek Kolstad, writer responsible for the first Wick, will return.

John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, and Ian McShane will be returning too, and joining the neon party will be Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Peter Stormare, and Common.

John Wick: Chapter 2 is scheduled for a 10th February 2017 U.S. release date; with the U.K. getting it a week later

What’s that old internet saying?
