A movie based on Tom Perotta’s Abstinence Teacher (a good book, but not Perotta’s best) has been in development for years. Now, it looks like it might be moving ahead finally, with Sandra Bullock and Steve Carell, of all people. But I’ll admit: They both kind of fit the parts. And with Jonathon Dayton and Valerie Faris (LIttle Miss Sunshine) on board to direct, it’s a movie I’m actually looking forward to, should it ever get made. (The Playlist)
