It’s been 20 years since Dumb and Dumber, and during the intervening two decades, the gross-out comedy/slapstick of the Farrelly Brothers has fallen out of fashion, as has Jim Carrey. So, Dumb and Dumber To will be a reinvention for a new generation, right? They will reboot their brand of comedy, right? Jim Carrey will rise like a Phoenix from tired poop jokes, right?
Nope. It’s like a joke that’s been repeated over and over for 20 years that’s lost all of its meaning. TARTLETS. TARTLETS. TARTLETS.
