A remake of The Crow has been in the works for a while, due to a large amount of interest in that corner behind the high school where all the goth kids go to smoke and pout at stuff, and a few guys down at the comic book store. It’s now been reported that after creator James O’Barr actively championed both Luke Evans and Sam Witwer for the role, the part has gone to none other than Jack Huston. O’Barr says he’s happy with the choice. Those three names make me wonder if they were casting more than half based on resemblance to Brandon Lee:

While Huston isn’t physically as close as Evans or Witwer, he’s still a very attractive guy with flowing brunette hair, and there’s the bonus that he’s a pretty good actor too. Lets hope the next announcement is that the production has decided against using blanks and will instead add muzzle flashes in post-production just to be safe.
