We were all excited about The Cloverfield Paradox trailer dropping during the Super Bowl and premiering as soon as the big game was over. I went to bed right after the game, since I’m old, but I awoke the next morning and immediately began watching Paradox. As Dustin’s review said more eloquently, it ain’t good.

It’s not the best Cloverfield movie. Hell, it isn’t even the best sci-fi movie on Netflix right now. It was a complete disappointment aside from giving us a reason for the first movie’s existence. It made our lives a sad fart.

But then a hero came along, with the strength to carry on.

A reddit user called DubC-Ent figured out that Cloverfield and The Cloverfield Paradox sync up in an amazing way.

Skip to around 18:20 in each movie, press play at the same time, and get the chills like I did…

In case you don’t have the means or the interest in watching two movies at once, don’t worry. Another reddit user, ____Ghost_____ created a video to show that at 18:20 into each of the movies, they sync up perfectly. In Paradox, the Shephard runs and shoots the ship and crew into and through other dimensions and timelines. Meanwhile, the timeline in Cloverfield experiences the first noises heralding the Monster’s arrival and the lights going out at the party.
