The Absolute Best, Most Joyous Moment of Last Night's 'Golden Globes'

Most of our Golden Globes coverage is contained within the complete list of winners, and Courtney’s liveblog, which is an excellent, hilarious read whether you watched the Globes or not. If you missed them, Joanna also offers a helpful ranking of the night’s best speeches.

But, there were a few things that we missed. There were a lot of great moments in last night’s Golden Globe awards, which you can undoubtedly expect when actors start drinking spirit juice by 4 p.m. West Coast time. The drunkenness was evident in many of the speeches (seriously, you have a 20 percent chance of winning, just prepare a speech next time, OK), and in others, apparently, there wasn’t enough alcohol in the room to quell the nerves. But honestly, my very favorite moment of the entire night was Seth Meyers’ expression, not when he won, but when his SNL pal, Andy Samberg, won for Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

This is just wide-eyed glee. You’d have thought he’d just won the lottery.

Could these guys be any more adorable?

And the Seth Meyers’ love for fellow cast members was not limited to Samberg.

Meanwhile, Amy Adams won the award for the most awkward face of the night.

E! won the award for worst fun fact of all time.

This guy won the “Don’t Leave Me Hanging, Bro” award of the night.

Elisabeth Moss won the “That’s kind of weird, but OK!” award.

The biggest disappointment of the night was seeing Jon Voight win over Aaron Paul, despite providing the most troubling image of the year (NSFW link, do not click if you value you your sanity).

The weirdest trend that no one is complaining about award?

The night’s best dance-off goes to Fassbender and Cumberbatch.

Finally, if you got up to go to the bathroom and missed it, here’s the best commercial of the night.
