That's A Lot Of Psychos: The Wonderful Cast Of Seven Psychopaths
I’ll give you the plot synopsis first:
From Oscar-winning writer and director Martin McDonagh comes a star-studded, blood-drenched, black comedy. Marty is a struggling writer who dreams of finishing his screenplay Seven Psychopaths. All he needs is a little focus and inspiration. Billy is Marty’s best friend, an unemployed actor and part time dog thief, who wants to help Marty by any means necessary. Hans is Billy’s partner in crime. A religious man with a violent past. Charlie is the psychopathetic gangster whose beloved dog, Billy and Hans have just stolen. Charlie’s unpredictable, extremely violent and wouldn’t think twice about killing anyone or anything associated with the theft. Marty is going to get all the focus and inspiration he needs, just as long as he lives to tell the tale.
I like it. Zany, violent black comedy. Added bonus: Martin McDonagh is the director of the brilliant In Bruges.
And now, to tent your shorts or dampen your seat a little more? The cast. Colin Farrell plays Marty, Sam Rockwell is his pal Billy (and I’m praying for a dance scene), and Christopher Walken is Charlie the gangster. Mickey Rourke was once attached to the film as well, but he backed out this week on account of being fucking crazy. Probably not enough parrots or chihuahuas or something. In any event, he was replaced by Woody Harrelson. Additionally, the disgustingly attractive Olga Kurylenko signed on recently as well. Oh, and Tom Waits.
Man, I need a drink.
