Morena Baccarin, discussed on this short list, has managed to land the female lead opposite Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool. She will be the romantic interest, as her character description talks about falling for a man with a horribly scarred face. Feh.

X-Men: Apocalypse has cast Kodi Smit-McPhee as their young Nightcrawler. The role was last played by Alan Cumming in X2: X-Men United, where he suffered through endless hours of makeup and harness chafing. Hopefully Smit-McPhee will have less time in the makeup chair, since Jennifer Lawrence’s makeup application went from seven to eight hours in X-Men: First Class to just three or four hours for X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Netflix’s Daredevil has revealed the titles, directors, and runtimes of its first three episodes. The British Board of Film Classification has rated these episodes, allowing us all to see their names and ratings. I don’t think we much care about the ratings, but per ComicBookMovie’s screenshot we have:

That’s “Into The Ring” followed by “Cut Man”, both directed by Phil Abraham (Mad Men, Orange is the New Black). The third episode is titled “Rabbit In A Snow Storm” and Adam Kane (Hannibal, Sleepy Hollow) will be directing. Each episode will run around 52 minutes and the series will begin streaming on Netflix April 10th.

Suicide Squad will be giving one of their anti-heroes a flamethrower to play with, according to this Twitter post from director David Ayer. My money is on Harley Quinn spraying suckas with the deadly weapon.

Another Suicide Squad character, Rick Flagg, has finally been cast after Tom Hardy dropped the part. Joel Kinnaman (Robocop, The Killing) has snagged the part of the leader of the team of psychos and criminals.
