David Harbour (Police Chief Jim Hopper) let loose some information on the second season of Netflix’s amazing series Stranger Things while on the FAN2SEA cruise. (Yes, a cruise ship where you also nerd out with celebrities or whatever. How are we just hearing that this is a thing?).
At any rate, Sean Astin (Goonies) joins the cast as Wynona Ryder’s character Joyce’s new boyfriend. Do I smell a love triangle? Nope. My damn dog just burped in my face. However, it could be a love triangle, because you know Hopper and Joyce have a thang, acted upon or no.
Harbour also shared news about where the new season picks up:
“It’s a year later in the story, so there are several things that happened last year — like Will has come back — there are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don’t know what happened. So there’s a lot of fall out with who knows what.”
And also what the deal is with fucking Barb:
“The question and the feelings that Nancy has that no one ever cares about her friend Barb, are very much present in the beginning of the season.”
It has also been revealed that Paul Reiser and Linnea Berthelsen are joining returning cast members Harbour, Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Shannon Purser, Randall Havens and Catherine Dyer. Still no word on when we’ll get our sweet fix from Netflix though.
