Hey, that actually sounds pretty cool, right? Sinister director…I crack myself up. No, I’m not drunk, but I am alone with three kids so uh…

Anyhoo, according to legend the Wiki, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko introduced the magical Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange in 1963’s Strange Tales; he’s described as a former neurosurgeon turned defender of Earth — against all things magical and mystical. Sounds like my kinda guy. Especially since rumors from earlier this year claim our own strange doctor — Hannibal Lecter, himself — is one of the front-runners to star. Of course, that was way back in February, so who knows what’s happening now. But I do think it’s a great idea to get a horror guy like Derrickson; he’s also written and directed The Exorcism of Emily Rose, and this summer’s Deliver Us from Evil. In other words, party on.

What say you, oh Marvel comic geeks?
