I suppose that it ultimately hardly matters what Daniel Craig’s secret role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be, since we will probably never get to see his face, but I suppose it’s fun just knowing that he’ll be in the film. Who will he play?

As Simon Pegg revealed with The Sun when asked if he’d be playing a Stormtrooper in the film:

“I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper.”

Realizing his mistake, he then added: “I shouldn’t have said that.”

Oops.

It could be that Pegg is lying, but according to an “insider,” “Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters.

“Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him.”

Maybe, but somehow I doubt fans will be preoccupied with trying to figure out which of the nameless hordes will be Craig, but it’s neat to know all the same.
