'Sherlock' 'Abominable Bride' Details, Plus Clue-Laden Curly Fu and Peanut Photos
The BBC has released new photos from the upcoming New Year’s Day Sherlock special, a one-off episode titled “The Abominable Bride,” and among the pictorial treasures are a host of clues, neatly sorted by Radio Times.
1. Hound (of the Baskervilles)
2. Slipper and Knife (Watson referring to Holmes’ haphazard organizational methods and items mentioned in The Musgrave Ritual)
3. The elephant in the room (addressed in Sherlock’s best man speech)
4. A gift given by the bride in A Scandal in Bohemia, affixed to Sherlock’s watch chain.

Best of all, the January episode features clues directed specifically at Sherlock fans in China, who have the most adorable nicknames for Holmes and Watson you’ve ever heard. Meet Victorian era Curly Fu,
Aw, come on guys, it’s not that bad. Those are actually super cute nicknames.
Of the episode, Moffat says:
“It’s a new story, but if you know the original stories, you’ll see that it’s fashioned out of quite a few others. As ever with us, we’ve chosen several and there are loads of references.”
