Between tonight’s season finale of “Breaking Bad” and the premiere of “True Blood,” I’m well on my way to a full body orgasm this evening. And speaking of orgasms, it looks HBO didn’t get enough (and doesn’t think you got enough) of single gals searching for the ultimate climax. Don’t they read Dr. Pisaster’s fabulous Pajiba Dirty Talk column? If you can’t find an orgasm, you need only look in the mirror.
But when people have a problem, most of us won’t immediately accept the simplest answer; we have to run around asking as many of our friends as we can, read all the books, diagnose ourselves searching the interwebs and if all else fails, watch a television show. So for those of you who really need the boob (I can see how that would be helpful) tube to help you figure out your sex life, HBO is developing a new series based on Mara Altman’s book Thanks For Coming: A Young Woman’s Quest For An Orgasm. Set in New York City, the tale is all about a young, female writer and her pursuit of that unattainable peak. That doesn’t sound familiar at all!
Howard Deutch (My Best Friend’s Girl, Pretty in Pink) will direct the script which is being adapted by Mark Steven Johnson (Grumpy Old Men).
