See, I've Already Waited Too Long: Here's Your New 'Doctor Who' Villain Number Two
Cheerios! I know you guys are as excited as I am for Series 8 and Peter Capaldi’s Twelve, right? And you’ve heard about Samuel Anderson’s Daniel Pink (second companion!),
and villain number one—the gloriously bespectacled, “mysterious” banker, Ms. Delphox (Keeley Hawes), yes?
There’ve been speculations The Master will make a return, and confirmed directors include Ben Wheatley, Paul Murphy, Douglas Mackinnon and Paul Wilmshurst; Peter Jackson is said to be a possibility as well.
Today came word that actor, comedian and almost-physicist Ben Miller (Death in Paradise, This Is Jinsey, Primeval, Episodes, Johnny English) will play a “storming villain,” up against Twelve.
I should find a more serious picture for such a serious occasion…
Miller commented, “As a committed Whovian I cannot believe my luck in joining the 12th Doctor for one of his inaugural adventures,” said Miller. “My only worry is that they’ll make me leave the set when I’m not filming.”
Doctor Who returns *sometime* in the second half of 2014. Sigh.
