Below is the new poster for Safe House, a film that a lot of A-listers attempted to land but one that ultimately went to Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds (Reynolds got the gig back before Green Lantern was released, i.e., when he was set to be the next big action star, i.e., before he crashed and burned like a Gator cheerleader trying to bed Tim Tebow). The movie actually sounds good — it comes from Swedish director Daniel Espinosa, who gained a lot of recognition with his film, Snabba Cash — and the script comes from David Guggenheim, a formed editor at US Magazine who sparked a bidding war with this debut script.

Hey! Poster makers: You can’t just rip off two separate movie poster ideas, cram them together, and call it a new idea. That’s the job of the studios. You’re supposed to make their unoriginal ideas look original, not the other way around.
