Maverick Harrison Ford May Have Gotten His Goose for the 'Blade Runner' Reboot
I don’t know about you, but seeing — ***Spoiler for anyone who hasn’t watched the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer yet — Harrison Ford at the end made me all sappy and sentimental, and not a few hours later, the man J.J. Abrams calls a “hero” was in the news again. In the beginning, I was just as uncertain we needed more Star Wars movies as I am about a Blade Runner sequel, but who knows? If we all cross our whatevers, things could turn out okay. Regardless of our feelings on the matter, this thing is moving forward, and Ford may have just gotten his first co-star.
No, it’s not Sean Young…(not yet, anyway).
No, it’s not Chewie.
It is a director, but you probably don’t want to watch his first movie.
That’s right, the baby Goose himself is about to become a replicant. Well, that part’s just my speculation, because something about him just screams, “I’m a robot!” While he’s still “in negotiations,” it’s being reported as a done deal. There are no real plot details as yet; only Ridley Scott’s comments that Harrison Ford says Hampton Fincher and Michael Green’s screenplay is the “best script he ever read.” Though Joanna Cassidy would love to return, thus far Gosling is the only additional cast member in the untitled sequel. Denis Villeneuve (Enemy, Prisoners) will direct; Scott will executive produce.
p.s. Baby Goose dyed his hair dark brown for a film, and it’s not good.
