‘People’ Magazine has just released an exclusive look at an upcoming movie called Rough Night.
Five best friends from college who reunite in Miami 10 years later for a wild bachelorette weekend. But when the partying ends up taking a dark turn and they accidentally kill a male stripper, the longtime friends are forced to put their heads together and cover up the accident.
The movie was originally titled Move That Body, and is being described in various places as The Hangover meets Weekend At Bernie’s meets Very Bad Things. Where it gets interesting—apart from that quite stacked cast—is the talent behind the camera. Rough Night is being directed and co-written by Lucia Aniello, who is best known as a frequent writer and director of Comedy Central’s Ilana Glazer-starring Broad City. Her co-writer on Rough Night, Paul W. Downs, was also an actor and writer on that show. The script for Rough Night is also notable for having landed on the 2015 ‘Black List’ of unproduced screenplays that show promise. So, maybe something to look forward to? Plus it’s good they’ve got the one non-white friend involved in the party. That was nice of them.
