Hey, have you heard about The Sister Brothers? It’s the next projects for Jacques Audiard, the French director and writer known for 2009’s A Prophet. But did you also know the 2018 film is set to feature Jake Gyllenhaal and Joaquin Phoenix? And that now, according to Variety, Riz Ahmed will be joining the cast? Wait, did I also mention John C. Reilly is in the film?

Okay, let’s pause and appreciate this before we move on.

The Sister Brothers is based on a novel of the same name by Patrick DeWitt and is a noir western set in Oregon in 1851. The film will follow Eli and Charlie Sisters, two assassins who are hired to find Hermann Kermit Warm, a gold prospector. But one of the brothers is starting to question their lifestyle, throwing the entire mission into question.

It hasn’t been announced who Ahmed will be playing but Eli and Charlie will be played by Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly.

Joaquin + Jake + Riz? Yes, please!
