My husband and I laughed uproariously at one of the following trailers. I’ll give you one guess as to which one.
First we have the red-band trailer for the Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Jason Mantzoukas flick The House. Ferrell and Poehler play parents who lose their daughter’s college fund and Mantzoukas is their neighbor with a plan: turn their house into a casino.
I don’t think they can ever do better than The Mummy trailer that didn’t have finished sound, but I suppose they have to try. Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Annabelle Wallis, Jake Johnson, Courtney B. Vance, and Russell Crowe are some of the stars of the sort of remake.
Thought safely entombed in a tomb deep beneath the unforgiving desert, an ancient princess whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.
From the sweeping sands of the Middle East through hidden labyrinths under modern-day London, The Mummy brings a surprising intensity and balance of wonder and thrills in an imaginative new take that ushers in a new world of gods and monsters.
