It’s early, and while I’m still wiping the cobwebs away, in preparation for a day of writing about Megan Fox, no doubt, I thought we’d spend some time with a much more interesting woman. Below is a short clip of Jane Lynch, in an interview with Katie Couric last night. She doesn’t say anything all that interesting (she doesn’t like Rush Limbaugh, surprise!), but I haven’t seen a lot of Jane Lynch outside of her film and television roles (where she is the second most prolific actor of the last five years). I came to “Party Down,” after my perception of Lynch had already concretized, so it was something of a surprise to see a Jane Lynch character so unlike the rest of them: An earnest, somewhat gullible, seriously nice person who had issues with growing old. Also very funny, just in a different way.
Anyway, watching these few seconds with Katie Couric, on the Jane Lynch spectrum, you realize that she’s less acid-tongued Sue Sylvester and more sweet Constance Carmell.
