Island? Check. Mysteries and secrets? Check. Prisoners? Check? Fish crackers? I dunno — check the kitchen.
J.J. is at it again people, now it’s up to you to decide whether or not you’ll tune in. Fox has announced a pilot commitment for Alcatraz, Abrams’ latest series project. It’s interesting how in television, both people and networks find their groove and seem to stick with it. Fox likes prison and Abrams likes his “mysteries.” He also likes to work with the same people; in this case he’ll re-team with Lost writer and producer Elizabeth Sarnoff, who wrote the spec script. Set at the San Francisco confinement facility, the only information on Alcatraz thus far is the tagline: “A show about mysteries, secrets and the most infamous prison of all time: Alcatraz.”
At least this time if we have to bend over, we’ll be in the right setting. May I suggest Josh Holloway as the sardonic guard who forgets to button his shirt all the way?
