Cool, I guess? I mean, one of the big appeals of Nolan’s Batman universe (at least to non-comic book geeks) is that it seems based in reality, but yeah: Comic-book-y promotional images are neat. Sort of. The marketing people have to do something. The Dark Knight Rises is a movie that will totally sell itself. That’s got to feel like the most useless job in marketing. It’s going to be the biggest movie of the year, no matter what you do. How bad would you have to fuck that job up to actually affect the box-office performance of the film?
