Director Brad Bird has been keeping his Damon Lindelof scripted Tomorrowland hush-hush as far as plot goes. Finally, they gave the scoop to HitFix:
“A teenage girl, a genius middle-aged man (who was kicked out of Tomorrowland) and a pre-pubescent girl robot attempt to get to and unravel what happened to Tomorrowland, which exists in an alternative dimension, in order to save Earth.”
Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” may yet become a movie. The rights have been floating from director to director since 2009 when Lionsgate snagged it. David O. Russell, Mike White, and Craig Gillespie were all attached at one point or another and only Russell’s script is still in the mix. Panorama Media now has the film rights and hopes to get a director to stick.
A horror film that actually frightened me, Sinister, is getting a sequel. I do not want to spoil anything for those of you that haven’t seen the film, but I will say that it will be easy to pull a sequel from this movie. Hopefully enough will stay the same to feel like a true continuation of the story while also being different in ways that will keep the viewer engaged. Robert Cargill and director Scott Derrickson, who wrote the original, will also pen the sequel. Derrickson will not be directing this time, however.
300: Rise of an Empire has released an image. The sequel to
299 300 is supposed to be released this year. The movie takes place before, during, and after the original. The IMDB logline reads: “The Greek general Themistocles battles an invading army of Persians under the mortal-turned-god, Xerxes.” Uhh.
Sam Raimi has said that he and his brother Ivan will begin work on Evil Dead 4 this summer. I think I’ve heard this tune before, but I will probably still nod my head to it until it fades away. Then I will be relieved, because I don’t know if they can top Army of Darkness.
Steve Carell announced on The Tonight Show that Anchorman 2 has begun production. He also stated that Brick will still be a moron. Joining the previously announced cast additions are Meagan Good as Ron’s new boss and Dylan Baker in an unspecified role.
Omar Sy (The Intouchables) has become the first black actor to be officially cast in X-Men: Days of Future Past. Of course, we have no idea who he will play and with the way information about the film is seeping out like it is, we might have to wait until June of next year to find out.
