How better to celebrate Halloween than with new pictures of bad guys in disguise? Via io9 comes news that Mena Suvari has joined “The Cape” as a character named “Dice”, and photos of villains Vinnie Jones and James Frain.

Frain plays “Chess”, alter ego of Peter Fleming and The Cape’s arch enemy:

While Jones stars as “Scales”, a criminal with freaky green and gold diseased skin:

Presumably you can figure out how they got their nicknames.

As silly as the premise sounds (a man is framed for a crime, goes into hiding and learns how to use a powerful cape) and as little faith as one can have in NBC, the cast that has been assembled is fantastic and the more little tidbits they leak, the more intriguing the show becomes. David Lyons (Eat Pray Love) stars as the framed father who takes on the identity of his son’s favorite comic book hero; Keith David (Requiem for a Dream, Pitch Black) is the leader of a group of bank robbers and teaches “The Cape” how to use his titular tool; Summer Glau (“Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”, “Dollhouse”) is an investigative blogger and The Cape’s ally; James Frain (“True Blood”, TRON: Legacy) as the aforementioned Chess, whose alter ego framed The Cape and Vinnie Jones (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Gone in Sixty Seconds ) as the creepy villain, Scales.

Here’s a clip with Vince Faraday aka The Cape (Lyons) trying to convince Max Malini (David) to help him:

Yes NBC, unfortunately I do want more. Now don’t frak this up.
