Do you watch Suits? Does anyone actually watch Suits? [Publisher’s Note: I DO! I DO!] It’s a typically USA Network show: Generally fine, nothing groundbreaking or unique, but oddly popular, particularly with older demographics [Publisher’s Note: Oh.]. This is a show that was second only to a little series called Game of Thrones in terms of cable ratings.

So there will be some fans for whom the news that stars Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle are leaving will be a shock. While representatives from the network and each actor have declined to comments on the matter, according to the Hollywood Reporter, sources say the pair will exit the show ahead of the 8th season.

Adams has carved out a solid niche as a TV director, working on the show as well as Mr. Robot, so that could be an interesting path for him to take post-Suits, but let’s be honest, the person people really care about here is Markle, girlfriend to the most famous ginger on the planet.

Engagement speculation has been rife regarding Markle and Price Harry, and this will only fuel the fire. It follows Markle, who is also a UN ambassador and philanthropist, shutting down her lifestyle blog The Tig and ending a partnership with Reitmans, which many read as early preparation for Princess life (she’ll really be a duchess, probably of Sussex). Good luck to her if she wants to spend her life attached to the Windsors. I’d rather eat my elbows.

Suits is already lining up a spin-off show centred on Gina Torres’ character entering Chicago politics. Really, Gina Torres should be in every show.
