Some of you may know that Tina Fey’s inspiration for Mean Girls was the Rosalind Wiseman’s advice book, Queen Bees and Wannabes. A few of you may even know that Wiseman wrote a follow-up, Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads. Now I’m going ot tell you that Sean Anders — who took a pass at We’re the Millers and wrote and directed Horrible Bosses 2 — has been signed on to direct a movie based on that follow-up book, and it will be called Mean Moms.
Furthermore, Us is reporting that Jennifer Aniston is considering taking the lead role in Mean Moms, though there is no word if anyone from the original will return. The four leads are not expected to come back, but how great would it be if Amy Poehler — Regina George’s Mom — decided to join the cast, although I cannot see Amy Poehler sharing the screen with Jennifer Aniston. That’s a weird pairing, and also kind of a stab in the back of Tina Fey, since the sequel will obviously not live up to the original because that is an impossibility.
