Jason Momoa Is Hyped For His DC Future And Margot Robbie Won't Be In 'Suicide Squad 2'

We’ve been discussing the DCEU a lot on the site lately. From The Joker movie no one wants to careful optimism about its overall future, DC and Warner Bros. are certainly giving us a lot to talk about.

While Endgame and Captain Marvel are just a matter of waiting for their release and enjoying them, the DCEU oeuvre is popping at the seams with possibilities, concerns, and seeing what sticks when they throw it at the fans.

Margot Robbie has her Harley Quinn solo movie (Birds of Prey: (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)) coming up, quenching the thirst of all fans missing her since the less-than-spectacular Suicide Squad. With her narrative moving past the relationship with The Joker and into the single-and-ready-to-fight-for-good version of Harley, audiences likely already knew she would not grace the James Gunn-penned and directed sequel to the villainous ensemble flick.

Now, with the news that Jared Leto’s promised solo Joker film drop-kicked into a dumpster of unfortunate tattoos and gold teeth, we have confirmation that Harley won’t be joining Amanda Waller’s (Viola Davis) next collection of psycho fall guys. I’m not sad about it but look forward to Harley’s continued cinematic success and an eventual two-hander with Poison Ivy.

Meanwhile, under the sea, Jason Momoa stopped by Warner Bros. Studios and shared an Instagram video with fans to get them as excited as he is for the future of DC.

This comes on the heels of DC and Warner Bros. announcing a sequel to Momoa’s wildly successful (and ridiculously fun) Aquaman. They also green-lit a spin-off called The Trench that focuses on the creatures from the, uh, trench shown in Aquaman. *cough*
