Look Closer: NBC Photoshops Kate Walsh in a Way that Painfully Defies the Laws of Nature

Kate Walsh’s Bad Judge (with Ryan Hansen) debuted on NBC last Thursday to tepid ratings and poor reviews, although I admit that I didn’t hate hate it. Hansen and Walsh were fun, even if the writing was not (and I couldn’t help but to think of the Eastbound and Down type show originally envisioned by Anne Heche and Will Ferrell when they pitched the sitcom). I really like Kate Walsh and since NBC is a wasteland on Thursday nights, I hope that she gets a chance to improve Bad Judge before it’s cancelled.

They might want to start in the marketing department, specifically with the people responsible for photoshopping the promotional images. Check this out.

On first blush, not only does it look like her legs are positioned in an incredibly uncomfortable position, but it seems as though she’s not got enough ass on the side of that judge’s bench to support her. She almost looks as though she’s hovering.

But if you look even closer at her foot on the right, you’ll notice that it’s twisted in ways that defy nature, unless her leg is a screw-on leg that’s not been completely been screwed on. Her arms also seem to be strangely misaligned for the way in which she’s sitting.

It’s the small things, the little details that can make or break a show, NBC. Granted, Bad Judge was broken by the much bigger things (bad writing) long before this promo image was revealed.
