Like It Or Not, 'Lip Sync Battle' Isn't Going Anywhere

I’ve never really understood the ire that people focus on Lip Sync Battle. I mean, sure, as one of Jimmy Fallon’s most popular late show acts, it’s a bright symbol of what so many of us see as the decline of late night television, replacing conversation and comedy with carnival games; and when it made the move to stand-alone television show, it validated that decline, and oh okay, never mind, I totally get it.

Still, the show is undeniably delightful. And it’s on Spike TV, so if you don’t like it, it’s pretty easy to avoid, except when the best videos pop up in your various feeds. You also can’t say the show doesn’t have staying power. I don’t know if many of us expected it to last more than two seasons, but looking at the trailer and lineup for the new season, season three is going to be filling up your feeds like crazy. Pretty much all of your favorite people are getting onboard to make sure of it.

“All of my favorite people?” you scoff. Yup. From the looks of that Beat It-themed trailer up there, all of them. At least all them them that haven’t been on it yet.

Just a few of your favorites who will be on this season: Don Cheadle, Uzo Aduba, Craig Ferguson, T.J. Miller, Milla Jovovich, Ruby Rose, Rob Riggle, and Samira Wiley.

Oh, right, and JOHN F*CKING CHO.

Happy Birthday to Chris Pine: a good friend, a GREAT see-through-guitar player.
