Can we take a minute to discuss the magical icy wonderland that is the upcoming series adaptation of Fargo? We’ve known for a while that this is something to look forward to. With the Coen Brothers producing and Adam Bernstein (Breaking Bad) directing the first episode for FX, things were already looking up. Then they started announcing the cast: Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks, and Oliver Platt. A big “yes, please” all around. Then, back in October Glenn Howerton and Bob Odenkirk both joined up.

Fargo has been picked up for a straight to series run of 10 episodes with the possibility of future seasons continuing with different characters, à la American Horror Story and True Detective. Check out the new teaser (spoiler: it’s cold in Minnesota).

So, given all that we knew, I was already pretty damn excited for the premiere of this series. Then today they outdid themselves. The newest additions to the Fargo cast? Key and motherf*cking Peele.

They’ll be playing FBI agents in a four episode arc. I’m holding out hope that their characters are actually valets-turned-FBI agents.

Vivian Kane thinks Burt Macklin may have some competition for the title of Greatest FBI Agent Of All Time.
