Jessica Chastain's Spy Thriller Looks Even Better than a Female Bond
I assume Chastain strolled into an office somewhere in Hollywood, slammed her hands on a desk, and yelled, “Fuck waiting on a female James Bond. I HAVE AN IDEA.” A story conceived by Chastain and penned by Theresa Rebeck (Harriet the Spy, Catwoman) was taken to Cannes Film Festival this year and presented to distributors by the cast. Who is in the cast, you ask?
I’m fairly certain a lot of Kinsey Scales just moved a notch or three.
The female spy thriller is called 355 and will star Lupita Nyong’o, Fan Bingbing, Chastain, Marion Cotillard, and Penelope Cruz as five super spies that must team up to destroy a common enemy. Based on the fact that the characters are from around the world, I’m betting the actresses will be using their own accents. Somehow that just makes everything about this project even better for me.
Let’s go for utter perfection here and have Worst Chris be the antagonist that has his ass handed to him by these women. OR let’s have the Three Best Chris Contenders team up as the enemy they fight. They can swap out from scene to scene with no explanation or lead the organization that is under attack. LET US DO THIS THING.
