Jennifer Lawrence Enters the Pop Charts, Which Are Sadly Still Dominated by Nickeback

I am sorry to report that Nickelback has not ceased to exist yet, folks. Despite attempts to halt their UK tour using Kickstarter, not only is the band forging ahead with the tour, but they entered the week with Billboard’s number one selling album, No Fixed Address. These guys are number one on the pop charts in ALL of America.

Fortunately, we can perhaps offset some of the Nickelback blight with Jennifer Lawrence, who entered the top 40 on the pop charts in the UK and Australia with her haunting song from Mockingjay, “The Hanging Tree.”

Billboard is predicting that the song — co-written by Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins and The Lumineers — will enter the U.S. pop charts soon, as well. After taking the Thanksgiving box-office with $56 million (and $225 million overall domestically, and $480 million internationally), Lawrence may soon dominate all the charts.
