Last week I decided to completely invent a rumor that a Happy Endings reunion was in the works, based on the fact that Adam Pally left his show the same week Damon Wayans Jr. announced he was leaving his. Well, apparently someone from the show saw that post and thought it was a great idea (and no, there are absolutely no other possibilities as to how this all came about), because there have been some major hint bombs dropped over on Twitter since then. Less than 24 hours after Operation Rumor Creation was launched, the show’s writers’ official account posted a link to a mysterious countdown labeled “It’s Almost a New Day.” Then they started tweeting out other stuff. Like this video of a ketchup commercial about anticipation and being “worth the wait.”

And also, apparently, winter is coming.
Again.

SO IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING? Well, here’s the small, if entirely obvious wrench that’s mucking everything up: That countdown up there? If you look ahead to the end date, it’s counting down to the most assholish date of the entire year: midnight at the end of March 31st. Also known as April Fool’s Day.
Oh, cool joke, Happy Endings writers.
H/T to LaineyBobainey for my disappointment.
Vivian Kane’s gonna get over this. Her cold black heart and living without attachments to anyone or anything is her greatest asset.
