Congratulations to the marketing people behind Wolverine for their terrible trailer release strategy. After releasing a six-second tweaser (*gag*) on Monday, they released a 20-second teaser yesterday, and today they’ve given us the real thing, which would otherwise be great if we hadn’t been fatigued by the tweaser (*blergh*) and the teaser already. Now it’s not even about the trailer — which looks OK, if not another end-around origins story — it’s about the silly marketing strategy and how we’re already kind of bored with Wolverine.
Great move, guys!
In fact, there are international and domestic versions, but I’m just going to give you the International version, which is essentially the same, plus 20 seconds.
Look for the first 20 minutes of the film to be release tomorrow. Wolverine opens on July 26th.
