Holy Sh*t, Who Let This Happen? Shaquille O'Neal Is Working On A Comedy Pilot?
Someone forgot to pay homage to some television deity or sacrifice the appropriate electronic item to R’hllor, because Shaquille O’Neal has a deal with TruTV. No, it isn’t some “reality” show, as one would assume based on the terrible TruTV name. It’s a scripted show called Shaq, Inc. and it is a workplace comedy.
A workplace comedy that someone insane is comparing to Veep.
According to Deadline:
“The offbeat, yet capable, group juggles the mayhem of managing Shaq’s existing products and endorsements while implementing his latest batch of eccentric and oftentimes brilliant business ideas. While they’re all working towards the same goal, each employee is constantly jockeying for the power and recognition to make the big guy proud.”
So far the cast has Shaquille O’Neal as himself, Meryl Hathaway (The Comeback), Matty Cardarople (Selfie), Miles Fisher (Psych), and Carl Anthony Payne (Martin).
What is happening here? WHY ARE WE BEING PUNISHED? Is this because of that whole Firefly cancellation thing? We tried to stop that! Is it because 2 and a Half Men actually is, as I once posited, a love letter to Satan that summons the Fallen Angel from the depths of Hell to reign fire and terrible programming on the Earth? We’re sorry! WE ARE SO SORRY! NOOOOOO!
