The sixth and likely final season of Community will finally debut next Tuesday, March 17th. Two episodes will debut on Tuesday, “Ladders” from Anthony Russo & Joe Russo, the directors of Captain America: Winter’s Soldier and the forthcoming “guy” Ghostbusters, and “Lawnmower Maintenance and Postnatal Care,” directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash (i.e., Dean Pelton). One episode will be released each Tuesday thereafter until 13 episodes are completely.
It debuts on Yahoo Screen, and while I don’t know exactly what time the episodes will premiere, I do know that it’s different from watching the show on NBC. Gillian Jacobs helpfully explains how to watch.
So, you’re going to have to download an app. No biggie. However, she says that we can watch by streaming it to our televisions via Roku or Apple TV. Is that it? I assume we can also watch it on our mobile devices. Is Chromecast also supported (probably not, since it’s from a Yahoo! competitor). Presumably, you can also just watch it on your laptop without the app.
Those in the UK can watch Community on Sony Entertainment Television on the 18th, and in Australia, you can on Stan on the 18th. If you live anywhere else in the world, Yahoo released this statement: “Go f*ck yourself.”
